At our last general meeting of the year on Friday, we covered several important points to prep for next year:
- Future homes / alternatives to TSI—Noelle might start contacting various programs on campus this summer, like the School of Engineers, PACS, and Haas
- Figuring out what’s happening with TSI will be imperative for reapplying for student group status in September, and then Fundraising will know what to do for the year
- Starting to think about recruitment and meeting formats
- Mandy offered to become our TECC historian!
We just had our first annual U.S. miniSummit on May 26! Several alumni came, including two co-founders and an alumnus from the TECC Beijing chapter. We discussed the future of the TSI program and the Stanford chapter as a whole. It was a great time and we gained a lot of valuable insights! Stay tuned for more updates.
If you missed the workshops, please view the videos below and email Cindy a paragraph of what you learned. Thanks!
Apply to TSI and YAPM here! Due March 8.
Did you know?
One in 15 children in the world live in rural China, yet less than 2% of them graduate from university.
How can you make a difference? Spend two weeks in rural China during the summer with one of our two summer programs!
You can find more information about TECC Summer Institutes and Youth Ambassador Program for Minorities under the Projects menu (currently a bit messy—we are launching a new website in the near future!).
Better yet, come to our info session this Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8pm in Old Union 200, where we will be talking about both programs!
The online application for TSI and YAPM is now LIVE right here. It is due March 8.
Welcome to a new school year! We are kicking things off and starting new projects right away, so we are hosting an info session on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 8:30pm in Old Union 219.

Also, new this year are intern positions! There are open positions in just about every department, and they’re a great way to get involved in a specific project while learning the in’s and out’s of organizing these kinds of projects with international collaborators.
Learn more about our projects under the Projects menu and the other departments on our Departments page.
We hope to see you at the info session!
